Banbury Canal Day celebrates it’s 10th anniversary with the theme ‘Balloons Galore’

It’s the Banbury Canal Day’s 10th anniversary, so they are filling up the canalside with things to do and see. The towpaths and open spaces on either side of the waterway will be filled with colourful displays, various stalls and a continental market, arts and craft market, a free folk content, food and drink as well as a 6 hour dance and entertainment programme. All of this and more will be set up.

Visiotrs will be taken around the site on different boats, you can also get a double decker vintage boat from one end of the site to the other. Blacksmith demonstrations will be at Tooleys Boatyard as well as engine displays and a working theatre in its dry dock.

Banbury Museum and The Mill Arts Centre will be open for visitors during the day and Castle Quay shopping centre is right on the waterside so there will be plenty to do no matter what you feel like doing.

The event will take place on Sunday the 6th of October from 10:30 AM until 5:00 PM
