WITHAM NAVIGABLE DRAINS The Witham Navigable Drains provide around 40 miles of sometimes rather adventurous navigation over an area of Linolnshire to the north of the River Witham. The Drains are accessed from the river via Antons Gowt Lock upstream of Boston. Built for land drainage but adapted for boats, the waterways provide an attractive alternative route into Boston that terminates close to the historic Maud Foster Mill. Depending on the size of boat and the condition of the sometimes weedy channels, it is possible to navigate several circular routes and numerous dead-ends.Approx 40 miles 2 locksMaximum dimensions: length 71ft 6in, beam 9ft
