The Avon is a popular and attractive river, passing through Evesham and Pershore on its journey from the Severn at Tewkesbury to Stratford-upon-Avon. Rescued from dereliction and reopened between the 1950s and 1970s, the river forms part of the popular Avon Ring cruising route as well as bringing boaters to the popular tourist attractions of Stratford.45 miles 17 locksMaximum dimensions: length 70ft, beam 12ft 6in (but passable by 71ft 6in narrowboat)
