Stanley Bridge Marina Moorers’ Annual Charity barbeque raised £416 for Christies Hospital in Manchester.
Marina owners Michael and Carol Cope hosted the event, which attracted the great support despite it being a welly and brolly day. (Before the heat wave rolled in.)
One of the highlights was a performance by 15-year-old singer Georgia Odette, who appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in 2011 and received a standing ovation at the Liverpool Empire. She sang a medley of her classical crossover songs, including a stirring version of of You‘ll Never Walk Alone. Georgia has performed all over the country at venues such as Wembley Arena and London O2.
In 2012 Georgia was spotted by Jason Donavan and asked to perform at a Royal Gala to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee.
And she has recorded an album to be released later this year.
