Five of the volunteer chairs of the Canal & River Trust’s partnerships are up for grabs this autumn as the initial terms come to an end
and while the holders are eligible for reappointment, the Trust will advertise the positions this summer.
Four are regional partnerships, set up to work with local CRT management, local authorities and other bodies to build up relationships and hopefully to bring in local funding and volunteers. They cover West Midlands; South Wales & Severn; North Wales and Borders; and Manchester & Pennine areas. The fifth is the Museums and Attractions partnership which covers the museums at Ellesmere Port, Stoke Bruerne and Gloucester.
The positions (which provide a seat at the Trust’s National Council) will be advertised in July, shortlisted applicants will be interviewed in September and appointments will begin in November.
