As tickets for Crick Boat Show went on sale, the organisers predicted that there would be 300 exhibitors at the annual showcase for inland craft, while the Canal & River Trust announced that its marquee would feature ‘John Nash’, the famous Georgian architect expounding on his ideas for the ‘new’ Regent’s Canal.

Held as usual over the late spring bank holiday weekend of 26-28 May, the show promises to be the biggest inland waterways event of the year, with exhibitors representing boatbuilding, engine and equipment makers and suppliers, services and waterways organisations. We will be previewing it in full in forthcoming issues of Canal Boat. A larger CRT marquee will feature the Trust’s water team, and its apprentices demonstrating their traditional crafts, together with ‘John Nash’ – an actor who will spend the whole time in character as the famous architect and Director of the Regent’s Canal, to mark its 200th anniversary.

Buying tickets in advance can save 15 percent on the entry price. See crickboatshow.com
