Macclesfield Canal



The Macclesfield Canal runs from the Trent & Mersey Canal to the Peak Forest Canal, forming part of the Cheshire Ring. One of the later canals to be built, the Macclesfield is notable for the fine stonework of its bridges, its embankments and aqueducts, and the splendid views over the Cheshire Plain.
