RIVER OUSE
The highlight of the Yorkshire Ouse for many boaters is the passage through the city of York. The waterway’s lower tidal reaches provide useful connections to the Derwent, Trent and Aire & Calder Navigation but require appropriate care and local knowledge. The upper length provides attractive cruising from Naburn through York to just beyond Linton-on-Ouse, where it changes its name and becomes the River Ure.
