The Canal & River Trust’s online stoppages system has finally migrated to the CRT website.

The Canal & River Trust’s online stoppages system has finally migrated to the CRT website and has been integrated with the site’s interactive map facility.

Up until now, boaters have had to access the old waterscape site for information about closures, restrictions and navigation warnings.

This has now been transferred to canalrivertrust.org.uk, and has been revamped as part of the move. The main change is that the interactive maps which already show boating facilities and information will now also display stoppage information for the area displayed. Clicking on an individual stoppage will then bring up detailed information.

The ‘stoppage alerts’ email warnings system (now named ‘notice alerts’) has been moved to the new site (existing users have been warned that they will have to re-register), and notices are also available on Twitter (@CRTnotices).
