Alrewas Arts Festival

If you are planning a trip on the Trent & Mersey Canal in the direction of the picturesque village of Alrewas this September, then make sure you’re around for the Alrewas Arts Festival. For a week, the place will be buzzing with activity, live performances, exhibitions, hands-on community projects, workshops and all totally free. The 2008 Festival will open with a street art and craft fair and close with a grand finale concert on the village playing field.

Newbury Waterways Festival

A colourful flotilla of boats will set the scene for Newbury's principal canalside event. Victoria Park will be filled with stalls and entertainment with plenty to do for all the family. This year, our theme is 'Wind in the Willows' as we celebrate 100 years of Berkshire's most famous Waterways book.

Saul Festival

The event takes place at Saul Junction, an unusual crossroads where he Gloucester & Sharpness Canal intersects the soon-to-be-restored Stroudwater Navigation. There will be a boat gathering, a 'folk on the water weekend', music, theatre, food and drink

Edinburgh walks

Join the 'feet first' campaign and learn more about the city's new 'canal quarter' which stretches from Edinburgh Quay to Harrison Park.
