Denmark Street
Wokingham, Berks

 | NICK WALL, EDITOR From cars to planes to motorbikes to boats, if it’s got an engine Nick loves driving, piloting, riding or steering it. His love of water came first though and yes, on his first canal holiday as a goofy teenager he fell in – we’ve got the camera ready…

 | MARTIN LUDGATE, DEPUTY EDITOR
With a bushy beard and a Morris Minor Traveller, our deputy editor just has to be the man who spends his weekends digging out old canals. Hugely informed on canals and boats, so long as they are old.

 | HAL BROWN, STAFF WRITER & WEB EDITOR Hal worked for the former DTi but we rescued him from oblivion when he wanted to move into the fast lane of boating journalism thanks to fond memories of holidays on the canals.

 | JENNIFER BISHOP, ADVERTISEMENT MANAGER Often out and about visiting boatyards and marinas. Jenny oversees all the Canal Boat adverts in the magazine and on the website. Can be seen at boat shows sporting a dazzling pair of spotty wellies with her glamorous sidekick, Claire.

 | CLAIRE RANDALL, CLASSIFIED ADVERTISING SALES Claire is queen of the small ads; if you’ve got a boat to sell or a product to advertise, she’s the delightful person to talk to. Also infamous for very brightly coloured wellies.

 | KEVIN BLICK, CONSULTANT EDITOR From Top Gear to Canal Boat was quite a change of pace but after ten years in the fast lane as editor of Britain's top car mag, Kevin was quite happy to slow down to 4mph and become Canal Boat’s editor for three years. Owns a vintage wooden boat but now thinks that iron oxide might be easier to deal with than wet rot.

 | HUGH MCKNIGHT, CONTRIBUTOR Hugh has written about boating for 40 years with a unique insight that comes from having travelled almost every inland waterway in the UK and Europe. Currently based in an 18th century manor house by the River Lot (lucky him) – which accounts for the tan.

 | DAVID OAKES, PHOTOGRAPHER Canal Boat's highly talented photographer of the beautiful exteriors and interiors of narrowboats has another speciality – taking pictures of stately homes. Quite a difference. He is also chairman of Derbyshire Wildlife Trust. | |
